Hudson got to meet the mission president and his wife, Brother and Sister Weaver. He was assigned his first area and will live at 705 A Springer Road Lawrenceburg, TN. His companion is Elder Zachary French.
Greetings from Tennessee:
This week Sister Weaver and I welcomed Elder Nelson to the Tennessee Nashville Mission. We have been anticipating his arrival for many weeks, and it was wonderful to finally meet him at the Tennessee International Airport. We express appreciation to his family for sending him to us and we assure you our best efforts in helping him adjust to missionary life and have the best possible experiences on his mission.
After dinner and a fireside with brief instructions in the mission home, Elder Nelson and I had the opportunity for an interview to get acquainted and learn more about each other. He stayed with us at the mission home and after a good nights rest, Elder Nelson received some additional training before meeting his first companion and trainer, Elder Zachary French. They will be laboring in the Lawrenceburg area, which is part of the Franklin South district. His address is:
Elder Nelson
705 A Springer
Lawrenceburg,TN.38464
Elder Nelson received his call to serve as a missionary from the First Presidency and has been assigned to labor in this mission by an Apostle of the Lord. His start and release dates have been established and are determined by the missionary committee. He began his missionary service as he entered the MTC on 16 Sep 2020. It is our desire the he will serve his full mission and be released on 21 Sep 2022. This date may be adjusted by a few days based on the needs of the mission. It is difficult to accommodate changes to these dates and it is requested that Missionaries and their families make plans to adhere to them.
The Tennessee Nashville Mission is a mission of high expectations and charity. We witness the hand of the Lord every week in the lives of our missionaries, members and investigators. Elder Nelson will bless may lives as he labors with all of his heart, might, mind and strength. Your emails and letters of encouragement will be a great blessing to him. I am also encouraging Elder Nelson to write to you weekly so that you will know of his well-being and of the experiences he is having. In case of an emergency, please call the mission office at 615-776-3408. If the office cannot help you, please call me directly at 615-812-4440.
Sister Weaver and I are honored to have the opportunity to love, train and support Elder Nelson. His health and safety are our first priority. Please keep Elder Nelson and all of the missionaries of the Tennessee Nashville Mission in your prayers, as they work each day to teach repentance and baptize converts.
With great love and appreciation,
Rhys A. Weaver
