Life in Lawrenceburg

Hudson made it down town Lawrenceburg and found that the city is quite small.  He did however find a great record shop that was selling used records for $1-2.  There is 1 ward in Lawrenceburg that covers 3 counties and has about 150 active members.  Hardly any teenagers are in the ward.  Hudson was asked to introduce himself at sacrament and opened with the fact he attended Preston High School where Napoleon Dynamite was filmed.  Thanks Jared Hess for putting us on the map.

Quercus muehlenbergii, the chinkapin or chinquapin oak. The chinkapin oak is also commonly referred to as a yellow chestnut oak, rock oak or yellow oak. Early pioneers used its straight wood to make thousands of miles of fences in the states of Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. Later on, the trees were used to fuel the steamships that ran from Pittsburgh to New Orleans.

Lawrenceburg has some big houses and also more modest ways of living.  The Amish buggies took him a bit by surprise.  Hudson was sad to find out that it is too cold for lighting bugs right now.  He experienced a whole day of rain after the Hurricane was down on the coast.  He says the nights are cool and it is cold getting out of bed in the morning.
