Ridge is Reading!!!

The kids see those ads on TV for the baby can read program and they think I should order it for Ridge. Seems he already has it down to me! When he noticed I was taking his picture, he decided to blow me a giant raspberry. I can't help notice that attitude starts young around here.

Spots or Pox???

I should have taken this picture sooner, here they are hard to see. But, it seems Ridge has chicken pox. No wondered he has been so cranky. Thank goodness he was vaccinated so he only got about 150 pox. I had a girl in my church class that came down with them at the same time (I think she shared the love) and at 16 she is covered. On top of that Hudson got swimmers ear from our great trip to Bear Lake and this week isn't as great as the last...Oh well I know it can always get worse, so I must count my blessings!!

Bear Lake

We took some family and went camping to Bear Lake and all I have to say is F.U.N.!!!!! It was so fun to stay. I was so worried about multiple days in the sweltering heat, but it was awesome. We reserved a "huge" group site that I have been paranoid about for five months, but it turned out awesome. The only "drawback" were the lizards, which turned out to be the delight of the kids when we were in camp. We ended the trip with a tour through Minetonka which Ridge required me to carry him through the whole cave. I tried to pass him off to Mitch, but he was not having it. Oh, well how can you not love a face like that, and I got extra cardio especially on the stairway to heaven.
I think this picture says it all...What a great summer!!!

Ridge's picture adventure

I knew this was going to be a tough photo shoot, but man...

First, I got the trainee, for a 15 month old not a good idea. Second, the man training her, Ridge hated (I think he has a good judge of character the guy was a jerk). Third, he's Ridge who in case you haven't noticed does not stop moving for anything and I mean anything (don't even get me started on diaper changes and slippery bathtubs). All in all we ended up with a couple of cute pictures for the wall and a lot of memories of the not so frame able ones.

Redfish Lake

Man, oh man!!! Did we have the best time EVER!!! My family informed me, we will be going back again and soon...I'm so glad that everything turned out so nice, especially the weather. There was too much to do that we couldn't fit it all in. All of the kids played on the beach. The oldest three became junior rangers, and caught fish. All of the roads and even some trails are paved so the kids went crazy riding their bikes. The boys rode on a tube behind the boat, and Hudson "tried" to wake board. I guess 52 degree water is not too much of a deterrent. We even found a snowman to pose with.

This is Hudson's idea of a GOOD time. Boy does he love to read...

I'm looking forward to more family togetherness as the summer rolls on.
