I was upstairs cleaning up supper. When from the basement I hear a sweet voice. The only problem with this sweet voice is that it is telling me that it is sorry. I think to myself, sorry for what. I went downstairs and Ellie keeps telling me that she is sorry for breaking my pretty. I looked everywhere and finally found a small decorations that she had destroyed. It was a small present, that I used for my advent calendar, that got hidden under the couch. I just can't be mad when they talk so sweet!!

Spring Is In The Air
With Spring comes the itch to get up in the hills. Mitch called me at work Monday and said that we should go roast hot dogs up the canyon. He had the kids loaded in the ranger by the time that I got home and off we went. We ran in to more snow then we thought (Mitch thought) there would be. But, with a little change of direction, we crossed fallen trees, a raging river, and even flipped some snow on us. On the way home Mitch thought that it would be funny to hot-rod through a mud puddle. Usually the water shoots away from the vehicle, but not this time, it came right over the top of us. I was laughing too hard to be mad. I just kept saying it wasn't funny through my laughter. All in all the kids had a great time. Hudson said that the ranger is "UNSTOPPABLE." Can't wait for more adventures .

More Painting
We have been having a lot of moving around in our house. Everyone has a new bedroom but me and Mitch. We decided that the boys were ready to move in to their own rooms, mostly because their stuff was trickling out of their doorway
. So knowing that only one of them moving in to the basement would create too much loneliness, we moved them both. I had painted their rooms a few months ago, but forget to share the finished product. We are still working
on the wall decor, but I am sure we will find just what fits. Each boy got to pick his theme and I must admit it was pretty predictable. I know that they will like it for a few years to come at least.

The finished product
I neglected to post pictures of our bathroom when we finished it. I kind of feel like we have half of a new house. We have been doing so much to the basements other half that has sat for all of these years.
Mitch had a lot of help in the tile department, but he did the rest himself. I was very impressed with his skills. My main job was painting it. We felt like white was just too stark and so we pulled in the cream from the molding and the tile. After we got our sump pump
figured out everything has been working well. It was installed when we built the house, but hasn't been used and it seems that the plumbers left it too far in the hole. We had to shorten the cord to make it work, but thankfully it was an easy fix. We were afraid we might have to replace it.

IT'S PINK
It seems that we have been adding a lot of color to our lives lately. We started with the boys moving downstairs and getting a splash of color on their walls. We thought that it was only fitting for Ellie to get an update
in her room as well. It was hard to decide what color to go, OK I'm lying she loves pink everything. Being our only girl and the fact that she loves pink of course that was what we picked. She was so excited with the paint sample
that while riding through Home Depot in the cart she would hold it up for any willing passerby and say "pink, my woom." Hopefully she will like it for at least a few years to come. I have enjoyed my last
few painting attempts since learning the secret of lining the painter's tape. It makes the lines so crisp.

I'd Like A Mulligan Please!!
I know that it is a golfing term for another chance, but boy I'd like another Springreak. For those of you that live in this area, you know what I mean when I say that it didn't feel like springbreak.
Yes, there was no school, but the three snowstorms really put a damper on any outside activity. We had to find things inside to keep our interest up. One of those was Playdough, always a sanity saver,
and making lots of treats. Ellie especially enjoyed the cupcakes. For those of you who have read the Pinkalicious book it was right from the pages. Ellie wanted them pink and she wanted a lot of them.
Thankfully, she didn't turn pink like poor pinkalicious. Mitch almost had Chevy convinced after eating two in a row that his face was turning. Back to school and I promise to be only a little mad if the weather turns good.
