In Recovery

We bit the bullet and had Hudson's tonsils out. After three antibiotics in the last two months, we felt we didn't have many options. I have some souvenir photos and a DVD of the whole procedure so we will never forget how BIG they were. I hope he feels better down the road.

Let It Snow

The kids were hard at work building snowmen. Ellie decided to build a snow queen. Chevy has gotten back his shoveling privileges. He left it in the snow for two months last year, and then it spent a month in the snow at the start of the season. Maybe that was his plan to get out of work--hmm--

Hudson has been working so hard on his scouting. He earned his wolf badge. We couldn't be prouder.

Christmas Pageant Gilbert Style

I had a crazy idea for our family Christmas party. I wanted the kids to put on the nativity. Not wanting to make that many costumes, I thought it might be fun to let the kids "create" their own. Wow, did they do me proud. I was worried they wouldn't like the idea, but they were off and running. They all drew parts out of a hat except baby Jesus. I thought Ridge would crawl away so the job went to Macklee (you couldn't even tell she was a girl). Here are my kids as a sheep, wise man, Shepherd and donkey.

Now you see my problem, how do you say "NO" to a face like that. Yesterday he took these cute pictures and then later that day he said "mama." Oh, how I love him. My smaller problem is which one do I frame on the wall?

Happy Halloween

I must recant my ill will...

I outsmarted the new program...hooray.

The kids were hard at work today making their pumpkins. We started just as it was sprinkling and within ten minutes of being done the down pour came. What timing!!! Hudson carved his pumpkin all by himself, even though I was kind enough to help remove the seeds. His pumpkin is sporting a moustache when you wonder what the extra holes are and ears on the side. He felt very grown up. Ridge had a hoot until he got a leaf stuck in his mouth.

SLEEPOVER!!!

As a kid I remember great memories of sleepovers with my cousins. Last weekend my kids got to create some of those great memories.
Hope there are a lot more to come!!

Ellie's Picture Day

I have a bone to pick with JC Penney. In the past I could get all of my pictures E-mailed to me and save them on the computer to look at for all of time. They have gone to new software that won't allow me to do that. I promise, I am not going to print them, but these snapshots definately do not have the quality I would like. Why do people have to change things?

My Three Sons!!

I must admit, I never thought that phrase would fit into my life. Then wham, there it is, staring me in the face... and what three beautiful faces they are!!

So...mom's at work, huh?

I got a call from my little brother saying he wanted to take the boys for a little motorbike ride...This is the picture I came home to. Yes my 6 year old boy IS DRIVING the motorbike. All was well until Hudson went around grandma's house and plowed through her electric fence that goes around the garden, ripping tomato plants from the ground. Glad I missed out on most of the fun. Ridge just looked too cute in the goggles

I love it when things go well and the baby works with the camera.

Wow, I am afraid I was a little unhappy with my attempt at a "red" motorboat cake. Between working that day and a screaming two month old, this was the finished product. Chevy couldn't have been happier with it though, and that is all that matters. I had to throw in an old time picture of us. Wow, maybe I should go for the short hair look again...

Happy Birthday Hudson!!

I am still trying to figure out where that last eight years have gone. I swear this handsome boy was just born and I was holding him on my lap...now he smashes me. I know I must enjoy every minute, because it will be gone before I know what happened. Hudson wanted a camo, army cake. I guess that it turned out alright, he seemed happy with it and that is all that matters.

I am sure you are tired of seeing pictures of this new guy, but too bad. I can't help but want to show him off, and with a new baby in the house, lets face it, there isn't time to do much else. Besides, he looks so dashing in his tux.
