The Big Ten!!!

Well, as my neighbor put it. "You made it to ten, then you have it made." I guess by ten years if you still love each other you will forever? I'm not sure on that analogy, but what I do know is that I do still love this man that I married ten years ago very much. I couldn't help pulling out a few of our older photos. I have been reminiscing all day. There's a few of my bridal photos, our announcement sitting and us enjoying our cake. As you may have guessed, Mitch is not home today, he is fishing (surprise, surprise). I told him that since we already celebrated on our cruise, I didn't feel like I was missing anything. I think he felt a little guilty, though. He took me out for dinner last night and surprised me with ten red roses today. What a sweetheart. Looking forward to the next ten and the surprises that I am sure are still to come.

Here Fishy, Fishy...

Yes, it is officially spring time at our house as the steelhead are in Salmon. I remember the first year we were married. We had been home from our honeymoon for a couple of days when Mitch took off to going fishing. (His friends though it was so nice of him not to go the night of our wedding, ha hum, I didn't think it was as funny as them.) Needless to say it is a hobby that Mitch has enjoyed over the years. This first trip was early, it always is, the boys are so excited to go that the fish aren't in full run yet, but some fish were caught and Mitch got the biggest so all in all that is a GREAT trip.

Riddle Me This...

What do you get when you cross two years of age with self sufficiency? My answer lies in these three pictures. Usually I get to Ellie before she can get to herself after the tub, but not tonight. She came streaking from her room with her under pants around her waist (both legs were through one hole). While I was trying to catch a "decent" picture, believe me when I say the standing view was hilarious yet inappropriate for blogging. She proceeded to cover her hands in enough lotion for all three children combined. These are the moments that I LOVE.

Do I Have To Let Him Go???

For the entire school year, Chevy has been asking when he gets to go to preschool. I keep telling him soon, well yesterday soon came. I have been dreading this day. I know how hard it will be to let him go to kindergarten next year and I wanted to keep him with me as long as I could. I am concerned that he doesn't warm to new situations well and decided that for the next three months it woulnd't hurt him (even though it is killing me) to let him go two days a week for a few hours. He was very nervous, but by the time I picked him up, he was LOVING school. He didn't want to leave his pencil box, however. What if he needs to glue something at home? This boy is always thinking ahead!
