This week has been a very slow one tbh, we spent most of it
inside because we couldnt drive with the Ice, big time bummer but we've been
able to have some pretty good phone calls. It turns out ryan cant be baptized
for another 2 1/2 years and he was really upset about it and it's been an
absolute roller coaster. We think everything is settled down we talked to him
yesterday and he said he understands why and what's 2 years compared to an
eternity, which is so amazing. He was talking about going to church and just
all this amazing stuff hes the most prepared man I've ever met. We told him we
would come back to Lafayette for his baptism and he said he would hold us too
it. We just have such a good relationship with him and hes such a good guy, its
unbelievable.

(The Lafayette Branch church house? An old Baptist church that is being rented. It has a baptismal font. Lots of purple carpet, no pews just folding chairs, and it also has a cultural hall in a separate building out back.)
