Who you may ask is Pella. Pella is the mascot of the pioneer school. She is a cat in case you can't tell(I wasn't sure). Hudson reached 100 AR points and got to walk down the hall with the cat while all the kids and teachers come in the hall and clap and cheer for them. Hudson has been working hard on his reading to get this award. He has read and passed tests on over 200 books since the start of the school year. We are so proud of him.

What A Little Mommy
So I had just finished unloading the dishwasher. I was working on reorganizing my Tupperware lids, so they would all fit in the drawer. Ellie and Chevy were playing nice and quiet in the kitchen with me. I got up from my
task at hand as Ellie told me to Shhh... I looked next to her and she had very carefully placed her baby in the top rack of the dishwasher put a bottle on her chest and then covered her with a dishrag. I was feeling so proud. She is so
good and playing mommy, and then she pushed the drawer in and closed the door. Yes, she locked her baby in the dishwasher. I promise she has never seen me try this. She suddenly got really mad that she couldn't get the door back open to get her back out. Well it is the thought that counts, right?!Sunday, January 25, 2009
Waiting for the Fire!!
So my kids are running out of patience. I promise I did not stage this "sit in". Chevy decided that it was time to go camping about a week after Christmas. I have tried to explain the season situation,
but he insists that is why we have a trailer. This morning they decided to get out their camping chairs. Then they pulled out some reading material. The only missing was the fire to roast the
marshmallows. I love kids imaginations. They keep everyday so interesting. I wish that I could look at life with so much simplicity.Friday, January 16, 2009
Wii Exercise?
Mitch's mom bought him a Wii for his birthday last fall. She said that she was so excited about us having one because of all the exercise that is involved with the video games. This is were I interject a fit of laughter.
For those of you who have played on a Wii you know that most of the games are played the same as all other video games (Mitch even golfs sitting on the couch). But alas, I got the Wii fit game for Christmas, and there is actual body
movements that has to be made to play. I was doing the strength training and Ellie turned off the controller. It told me that since I took a break during the exercise I did not earn any credits. No cheating there. The boys are enjoying jogging,
they like to run over the dogs and try to out run their escort. Glad to have the Wii in our lives. Thanks Mom!!

Ok, so he is right...SOMETIMES!!!
When I was pregnant with our second child, Mitch told me what a mistake we were making. He said that it would be so much easier if we only had one. When that one child was asleep they all would be asleep, no fighting in the backseat of the car, no quarreling over who got the biggest piece of pie, no one telling the other that they were singing to loudly, and most of all only one child to have our complete attention all the time. Well, I talked him out of all of these reasons, now that we have three I might not have made as good of points as I thought that I had. Throughout this last week, I have to admit, that on more than one occasion I wished (for only a few minutes at a time) that I only had one child. Yes, we have had the STOMACH BUG!!! Cleaning puked filled beds in the middle of the night was not what I had hoped motherhood to be. I know you have to take the good with the bad, or in this case the downright gross. The only thing that put me over the top was that I had it to. I am sure many of you out there know how hard it is to scrape bedspreads clean while you want to upchuck yourself. Well, as my mother would say...This too shall pass... and I will be so happy that I have three beautiful kids to blow me kisses and tell me that I am the best mom in the whole world. Hope that you stay well!!

Once There Was a Snowman!!!
What do you do in January? The joy of Christmas is over, the mess is mostly cleaned up, and inside time is
getting tense!! We headed outside to build us a snowman. After we had to warm up with a cup of cocoa and a lot of marshmallows. I was glad to be serenaded by some lovely voices. This is Ellie favorite song right now, she wouldn't join in with the boys, I guess she wanted a solo part.Saturday, December 20, 2008
All I Want For Christmas...
When I took Hudson to the dentist a few months back, he took some x-rays. From those he told us that Hudson's top teeth were coming in nicely. He thought that he might lose them by Christmas. They have been wiggling for a month now, but image my surpise when he lost them 7 & 5 days before Christmas. I couldn't resist getting him to sing me this great song.
