Gmilli Gmilli Gmilli Gmilli Gmilli (Hudson Podcast Week 52!)

Wednesday:  Trainer training brought back a lot of hard feelings.  They were fed much better with pulled pork sandwich with Alabama white sauce.  Much better than Dominoes.  With each new missionary that came in, Hudson got more and more nervous.  John Henry Daley, Defensive End at Lone Peak, came in looking/acting a lot like Brayden Parker.  He shot down Thomason about his football skills.  Hudson got confronted by him about playing football.  He was very glad he did not get him as his trainee.  He got Elder Brayden Johnson from Herriman, UT.

Thursday:  Felt sick with the reminiscence feeling he was having.  Brett who lives next to them took them to dinner, but didn't pay.  Calls Hudson Payton Manning and tells him he is a pool hustler.  He wants to take Hudson to the bar to hustle some pool and pick up some girls.  He told them all about piercing his nipples 3 times.  He thinks he can take the Elders in a fight.  Hudson politely declined multiple times and then told him maybe next time and got his hopes up.

Friday:  Talked to a Buddhist guy who does not think God loves his children.  Franklin is a homeless man in Gregory Mills park which is across from Hudson's church.  There are three wards that meet in the church building.  Franklin's dad did well post the great depression and started McDonald's and Taco Bell.  But, he has some issues with his story.  He feels he has ownership of all the Federal Land in the US.

Saturday:  Semi-productive call, along with a lesson with Franklin.

Sunday:  Not a very welcoming ward.  There are some good members including Dr. Bailey who loves Elk hunting and wears a trump hat.  Lots of cold calling.  Called over 1.5 hours without any lessons to share.  Dialed 615-821-9760 felt prompted to call 9750.  On 9754 got a lady to answer named Daphne who likes to read her bible.  She sounded open minded enough she might read the Book of Mormon.

Monday:  Another lesson with Franklin and a tour of the church.  He feels he owns the property the church house sits on.  Read 2 Nephi 33 and Franklin responded back with more prideful talk and how he could have written the Book of Mormon and he doesn't need to read the Bible because God is in his heart.  A drone follows him everywhere to make sure he is ok.

Tuesday:  Interviews with President Weaver.  He thinks he owns the same tie as Hudson bought to go to a dance with Keri Despain.  He concurs he doesn't own the same tie because Hudson bought it for so cheap $5.  First district council Hudson has been in charge of went alright.  Met the Hermana's in person.  They had an hour of Spanish lessons, because Elder Johnson is learning Spanish as well.  Joe Green on Facebook had some opinions.  He thought Joseph Smith was a bible prophet and he was named after him.  Dr. Bailey brought them some purified water.  He lets himself in.

Wednesday:  Aaron a small black kid came to the glass door and knocked asking to talk to Hudson's brother.  He asked Wiscombe if he can have a girlfriend, he is in the 6th grade.

Dear Elder Nelson,
Thank you for accepting the new assignment to serve as a District Leader in the Murfreesboro North district. Heavenly Father has great trust in you. As a Leader in the Mission, please continue to earn His trust each day.
District Leaders have a huge impact on the success of our mission. You will have more direct contact with the missionaries than any other Leader in the mission, besides their trainers. You will train the missionaries in your district, through exchanges with the Elders and through District Councils. As our District Leaders go, so goes the mission.
Remember that President Monson has taught "whom the Lord calls, the Lord qualifies." He has also taught that "when you are on the Lord's errand you are entitled to the Lord's help." Seek the Lord's guidance, as you serve the missionaries in your district. He knows the missionaries, and He will help you to know what to do.
Being a successful District Leader is far more about what you do than about what you say. Please lead by example. Find constantly, teach repentance from the Book of Mormon, and baptize converts. Be a Preach My Gospel missionary and a Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ missionary, by striving to obey and repent with consecration. If you do these things, and if you teach others how to do that, then you will be a successful District Leader. Remember that you are a keeper of the TNM Christ-centered culture of high expectations and charity.
I love you. Lift, build and inspire the best efforts of the missionaries in your District. Missionary work can be challenging. Always seek to encourage missionaries in the faith and joy. Let Charity be your guiding motivation in all that you do as a District Leader. I believe in you, and I know that with the Lord's help you will be successful. You will be in my prayers daily.
Love
Rhys A. Weaver
President, Tennessee Nashville Mission
