A Little Explanation

We are still dealing with jaundice, of course, and so I have been stripping Ridge down for his "sunbaths" as the kids like to call them. He always manages to get himself into this position with his head askew, pointing up. This of course was the way that he decided to come into this world despite much manipulation from the doctor. Facial presentation they call it, and just for the record, I wouldn't suggest trying it. It makes me wonder how much womb time he spent like this...hmmm...

Finding Solace...

As I walked into the bathroom, this is what I found. Hudson doing his homework in the bathtub. When I asked him what in the world he was doing, he informed me that he couldn't concentrate and in here it was quiet. I guess that's what happens with six people in the house.

EGGS AND EBELSKIVERS

What a great Easter!!! We went to Mitch's parents for Easter brunch and a big platter of ebelskivers. Mitch has bragged up these little breakfast goodies for as long as I have known him. We finally got to enjoy them. They are a Danish "pancake" that is hollow inside that you stuff full of butter and jam. The kids thought that they were "GREAT" and especially enjoyed making them "scream" at each other as they look like they have little mouths. Hudson couldn't remember what they were called so he nicknamed them "April Screamers" maybe we have a new product. Hudson also told his dad to hide his easter eggs really hard because he was so old now that he could find them too easy. Mitch took it to the extreme and put them out of reach as well as under the snow. What a day.

April Fools????

As I was up in the middle of the night, I noticed what appeared to be snow out the window. Not believing my two hours of sleep eyes I passed it off as my imagin ation. When I awoke and looked out the window ...YIKES... more snow. When will it end? We put up the trampoline last week thinking that the kids could use it during their spring break. I just didn't think they would need snowsuits. My mothers mantra to this disgusting weather pattern "spring time in the Rockies."

IT'S A BOY!!!!

It is official, Ellie and I are out numbered. But, if you have to be out numbered, I am not sure it could get any more precious than this. He was born Monday after a very "interesting" labor. We seemed to get one suprise after another, but thankfully everything ended up safe for both of us. I thought number four would be smooth sailing...

Christmas comes early???

OK so it might be early in the year to talk about Christmas, but my kids felt like that is what yesterday was. I felt more like they got spoiled rotten. My sister had a great idea to take them for the afternoon, to give me some down time in my 11th month of pregnancy (her wording, but I felt it was so true). She proceeded to take the kids to the dollar store, out to eat at McDonald's (and to play in the play area) and then to the new chipmunk movie. Talk about getting the royal treatment. Ellie got a little excited about applying her new chap stick.
