Franklin.........Kentucky?!?!?!?(Podcast Week 76)

Living in the triangle where Kentucky dips into Tennessee.

Last week in Spring Hill

Friday, February 18 Went with Brother Rounds to a lesson with a good-ol-skinny-Southern boy named Jacob.  He had a peach orchard.  The investigator grabbed his bible and told them they were headed downstairs for their lesson. The boys got a little nervous, but it was alright in the end. The biggest difference in the Church of Christ is they do not believe the Holy Ghost can speak to us individually.

Saturday, February 19 Working with the Longo's on Cathy's trailer.  The floor had lots of rotten wood at the bottom layer.  They asked Brother Longo, an Italian ex-navy man with a southern accent, what Sister's Brady's end goal is since it is in shambles.  Brother Longo says the whole point is to show Cathy love and that someone cares.

Sunday, February 20.  Re invited people to church at 11:00.  One man named Alan he messaged on Facebook accepted and came!

They met for a lesson on Tuesday February 22 and put him on date for baptism.  Waffle House for Brother Abrams last supper.  Went to Tolman's for haircuts and Elder Asay wrestles.  Elder Wilde moves into Spring Hill apartment and Hudson moves to Franklin, KY.

Wednesday, February 23. Packed and went bowling with Hermana's in Columbia.

Thursday, February 24.  Met Elder Walrath.  First companion that is taller then him!  New territory to navigate.

New address 886 Bluegrass Rd Apt F6 Franklin, KY 42134

Friday, February 25.  Lesson with Rebecca who takes care of a special needs sister.  They took Sister Roach who Hudson met in Lafayette.  She yelled a lot at the sister, and the boys didn't know how to handle it.  Sister Roach encouraged them not to give up.  The missionaries didn't give up on her, and they shouldn't give up on Rebecca.  The Elder's prayed and their answer was to continue working with her by showing love.  Hudson feels Rebecca has sealed herself off from her hard life.

Saturday, February 26.  Facebook messaged Cathy.  She said she liked the historical side of Franklin.  She recently had brain surgery and lives 1/2 mile behind the boys apartment.  They went and gave her a blessing.

(catfish dinner)
Sunday, February 27.  Church is in a triplex in room C. The other rooms are a parole office and Baptist church.  About 50 people came and they said it was a small week.  The chapel is very noisy.  Sister McGuire screamed in the middle of the service sounding like Jud's pterodactyl noise.  Shares the branch with another set of Elder's in Portland, TN.  They say the noise is a sneeze?  Hudson feels the branch members are very community oriented and the members are humble and loving.

Wednesday, March 2.  Member has a pond the missionaries can fish in and Hudson is off the catch a Catfish.
